About Us

We are a Brownsville group that aims to highlight the work done by two local non-profits, the Good Neighbor Settlement House and the Friendship of Women, and are looking for public support to build and pay for one project identified by each organization as a priority.

Working with Good Neighbor Settlement House Executive Director, Jack White, the group has been tasked with the purchase and installation of four outdoor lights on premises.  The estimated cost of the project is $4,000.

Conversely, the Friendship of Women Executive Director Gloria Ocampo and her staff have requested an improved recreation area for families fleeing domestic violence who need temporary transitional housing.  Costs of playground materials, installation of approved American with Disabilities Act (ADA) materials at an estimated cost of $10,000.

Community support is needed now.
