The Friendship of Women is a protective shelter for individuals (many times a mother and children) leaving a domestic abuse situation. Children are removed from the only home they have known and need some normalcy back. Being able to give a child a place to play is one way of giving them something positive and stable to focus their energy on.
The shelter needs a place for kids to play while moms begin to heal and start a major life transition. Funds collected will pay for a small pavilion, playground items and materials.
